We develop technology and provide services aimed at improving online reputation (on Google and other platforms.)

Using this proprietary technology and data-driven diagnostics, we analyze a brand’s internet presence and map out a more accurate, intentional, and strategic reputation for our clients, together with their communications teams.

Our clients include some of the best-known companies in the world, as well as notable individuals who expect premium standards of service and support — and their elite PR teams.  

The account manager fills a central role in our company by directing the strategic and tactical plan for improving the client’s reputation, while also serving as the primary, ongoing contact with the client.

Responsibilities for managing client programs include regular reporting, and serving as the point-person for all inquiries and issues; ongoing review and analysis of search data; constantly learning new skills and emerging tech; devising strategic and tactical recommendations for the program; and overseeing program elements such as content curation.

Our account managers must think flexibly and creatively, and communicate intelligently. Can you change course when a plan is not yielding expected results? Can you use what you know so far to discern what you still need to find out? Can you understand the true intent behind ‘polite’ client emails? Keep reading. 

 

You have:

  • 2+ years of professional experience (in any field) facing deadlines and demanding people.  
  • Strong English language communication skills, written and spoken. 
  • Basic web and technological literacy and ability to navigate / interest in learning unfamiliar tech. 
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to zoom out.
  • A good phone and video call presence, as well as a degree of flexibility.
  • Ability to work both independently and to collaborate with and contribute to a team. Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Super self-starting, multi-tasking, research, and problem-solving capabilities, and a strong work ethic. 
  • A respectful and gracious demeanor, alongside natural curiosity.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience in SEO and/or online reputation management
  • Experience in web marketing 
  • Customer success experience

Web Developer

We are seeking a proven tech developer to join our R&D Team. The right candidate will bring a greater level of sophistication to a currently successful product set; he or she will be an integral part of the ongoing development of new technologies that will broaden our offerings to an impressive and sophisticated clientele.

 

The Web Developer is responsible for:

  • Developing web technologies, server-side and client-side
  • Maintaining code, troubleshooting, and solving issues on live sites and systems
  • Building of new systems and features – backend, frontend

You have:

  • 3 years experience with software development
  • 2 years experience with Linux
  • 2 years experience with PHP/JavaScript/CSS
  • 1 year experience with Mysql
  • Experience with Web Services (JSON, REST)
  •  GoLang skills

You are:

Business Development Manager

Our Business Development team builds relationships with partners and industry leaders, growing business opportunities with a view to long-term growth. Named an Inc.5000 Fastest Growing Company in 2020 for the fourth time, Five Blocks has aggressive growth targets which the Business Development Manager is expected to help us meet.

We are looking for a rainmaker with a strong ability to create relationships, analyze human situations, write proposals, talk to prospects, and close deals. You’re an excellent and mindful communicator who picks up on nuances. You understand the business needs of our prospects and can clearly articulate Five Blocks’ value proposition to them.

You Will:

  • Research, identify, and develop new business opportunities in the US and beyond, using relationship-building methodology, often with executive level people 
  • Build on existing relationships (particularly in the realms of PR) to form new opportunities and relationships
  • Write proposals and presentations 
  • Conduct meetings with clients and prospects that outline our capabilities, identify client needs, and discuss potential reputation management strategies
  • Close deals with prospective clients! (You are measured on this metric.) 
  • Be on-call for rapid-response to client crises and urgent new business opportunities
  • Provide relevant counsel to Account Managers as part of a team managing client programs 
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop content and collateral for prospects

You Have:

  • Hunger to succeed and help us succeed, to learn new things, to hatch new ideas, and to meet new people
  • 3+ years of sales / biz dev experience (PR, digital, SEO, or marketing experience a plus)
  • A proven record of business development success; you enjoy talking to people, and prospecting for business.
  • Strong writing skills, and spoken presentation capabilities (English)
  • Strong organizational, research, and process management skills

Nice if you Have:

  • Data / Excel / Analytics abilities
  • Knowledge of search and technical aspects of the Internet / SEO 
  • Experience advising clients on reputation and/or crisis management skills
  • A vibrant network of communication professionals at agencies and in-house professionals, in the US and beyond
