What is GeoSearch?
GeoSearch is our internal tool for seeing Google results the way searchers actually see them in any of 500 locations across 69 countries and 23 languages, with no VPN or proxy required.
GeoSearch is our internal tool that lets us run a Google query from a specific city or country and see exactly what a searcher in that location would see – no VPN, no proxy, no manual configuration. Its coverage spans 500 locations across 69 countries in 23 languages, so we can check a branded search the way it actually renders for the audience that matters.
This matters because Google has not produced a single, universal results page for well over a decade: the same query returns different results depending on the searcher’s country, city, language, and device. A name that looks clean from one location can surface a contested headline or a different knowledge panel somewhere else.

What we use GeoSearch for
- Cross-market executive checks – a CCO in New York can see what the company’s executive page looks like to a journalist searching in Frankfurt.
- Issue monitoring – an IR team can confirm whether a contested headline is dominating the SERP in Singapore the way it is in London.
- Verifying changes – a Wikipedia edit or new asset can be checked against geo-specific results to see where and how it appears.
GeoSearch produces that location-accurate view in seconds, which is why it underpins the city-level SERP tracking in our IMPACT work.
