Does AIQ have historical data from before I started tracking?
No. AIQ data starts from the moment a topic is created. AI engines cannot be queried retroactively, so the earlier a topic is set up, the more history accumulates.
No. AIQ begins collecting data the moment a topic is created, and there is no way to backfill the period before that.
Why there is no retroactive history
AI engines do not preserve a queryable record of what they said yesterday, so neither does AIQ. The only way to know how an engine described a subject on a given day is to have asked it that day. Once a topic is live, AIQ captures those answers on an ongoing basis and they become part of its history, but the time before the topic existed cannot be reconstructed.
The practical takeaway: the earlier a topic is set up, the more history you have to work with later. This is why we recommend creating topics for a brand and its key executives before a crisis arrives rather than after, and why we set up exploratory topics for clients during onboarding, even before strategy is finalized, so the baseline starts accumulating immediately.
