The two flavors of bias

• Hostile pejorative framing, critical or loaded language inserted by hostile editors that characterizes the subject rather than describing it.

Both are NPOV problems: the policy requires a neutral encyclopedic tone and an editorial voice that presents positions as positions rather than advocating for or against the subject.

1. Open a Talk-page section. Every article has a corresponding Talk page for discussing changes; that is where the request goes, not the article itself.
2. Identify the specific biased phrasing. Quote the exact words that promote or characterize the subject rather than describe it.
3. Cite NPOV explicitly. Name the policy (WP:NPOV) the wording violates, so the request rests on Wikipedia’s own standard.
4. Propose neutral encyclopedic wording. Offer specific replacement text supported by reliable secondary sources that establish the factual substance without the loaded framing.

The failure mode to avoid

Do not edit the article directly to soften or harden the language without sourced rewording. Edits that reword article text without sourcing are typically reverted on policy grounds, and direct edits from a conflict-of-interest account get reverted and tagged even when the underlying point is accurate.
