What is Five Blocks’ Wikipedia methodology?

Quick answer

Five Blocks uses Wikipedia's official disclosed conflict-of-interest (COI) process: we research well-sourced, reliable information, propose changes on the article's Talk page rather than editing directly, and let independent community editors decide whether to implement them.

Five Blocks works transparently and in full compliance with Wikipedia’s guidelines, using the platform’s official disclosed conflict-of-interest (COI) process. The core principle is simple: we propose changes, we do not edit the live article ourselves.

Three-step disclosed conflict-of-interest process: 1.
Five Blocks' disclosed conflict-of-interest (COI) method: we research well-sourced information, propose changes on the article's Talk page (never editing the live article directly), and let independent community editors decide — in full compliance with Wikipedia's guidelines.

1. Research well-sourced information

Our team identifies accurate, reliable, well-sourced information that supports a more complete and balanced article. Every proposed change is tied to citations that meet Wikipedia’s standards rather than to the client’s own materials.

2. Propose changes via the Talk page

Rather than making direct edits, we work with the client to submit the proposed changes on the article’s Talk page. Wikipedia explicitly directs interested or paid parties to do exactly this: editors with a conflict of interest are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly and are instead asked to propose changes on talk pages so they can be peer-reviewed.

3. Independent community editors decide

Independent Wikipedia community editors review each proposal and implement it at their discretion. We make sure every request is optimal, well-sourced, and aligned with Wikipedia’s guidelines, but the decision to publish always rests with the community, not with us and not with the client.

This disclosed-COI discipline keeps the work both compliant and effective: the article improves through Wikipedia’s own legitimate editorial process.
